1988 Pontiac [what's THAT?] Fiero GT. THAT was the last one from GM.
So, getting [Finally!] a mid-motor Corvette - The C8 - is, I'd say, a bit overdue.
And no, 2000-5 Opel Speedster / Vauxhall VX220 don't count as the last ones. THEY were Loti.
No credit for Cadillac Cien, either. Was concept only. At the 2002 Detroit Auto Show.
Which is likely the place where the Corvette C8 will debut - The 2016 Detroit Show.
Because the Performance Geeks at GM are NOT going to let more than 1 year pass before gauntleting this thing -
But, now comes the Corvette C8 spec questions - V8 or V6TT? - Do I even have to guess what you all are going to answer? How many will Corvette build? - More than 100? How much $? Will this mean the end of Corvette Classic? - You know... Front-engine / 'Murican grunt / Chrome wheels optional? Will C8 get Corvette round tail lights, again? - Ford GT got'em.
Are they really going to call it 'Zora'?
What else do you want to see with the new mid-engine C8 Corvette?
Because finally, after all these decades of teases like this 1977 XP882 AeroVette, we can all finally start lusting after and conjecturing over a car that's ACTUALLY going to happen.
